MEGA Taekwondo Promotes its First Two Black Belts

MEGA Taekwondo promoted two young gentlemen to the rank of black belt! Jacob Aranovich and Arshia Salari went in front of a board of high ranking black belts and Masters to show their honed skills. Despite the high pressure with family and friends watching Jake and Arshia passed with flying colors. The truly amazing part is that they both are only 7 years old!!! This prestigious rank is rarely achieved at such a young age. Along with the physical skills, a student must demonstrate a great attitude, discipline, respect, listening skills, confidence and much more. Usually this is a lot to ask of a seven year old, but not for Jacob and Arshia. They both started Taekwondo at the very young age of FOUR and have put in countless hours of training three times of week. They have sacrificed other sports to pursue Taekwondo and have at times traveled to different martial arts events to increase their skills. These young students are not prodigies. Jake and Arshia are two young boys who have already learned i in life that when you put your mind to something, work hard and persevere you can achieve anything. (06/20/09)
