Facility Cleaning & Disinfecting Program

At MEGA Fun and Fitness, we take preventing the spread of infectious bacteria and disease through proper sanitation very seriously. We therefore have established and maintain the Facility Cleaning and Disinfecting Program (FCDP) at our facility.


This process involves preventive practices, active disinfecting, and compulsory cleaning of all areas within the facility. These measures are designed to ensure the lowest possibility of the spreading of infectious bacteria and disease by following MI-OSHA and CDC Guidelines.

Compulsory Cleaning

  • Daily Carpet Vacuuming

  • Daily Sanitizing of all Touch Surfaces

General Practices

Maintain regular housekeeping practices, including routine cleaning and disinfecting of surfaces, equipment, and other elements of the work environment.

  • All Employees - Frequent and Thorough Hand Washing
  • Hand Sanitizer is Accessible throughout the Facility to all Clients, Members, Staff, and Guests.

Infection Control Plan

If a student or staff present signs or symptoms of infection/virus, they will be sent home immediately — separating them from others in an isolated space until they are able to go home. 


If COVID-19 signs or symptoms are suspected, the individual will be asked to use a face covering while waiting to leave the facility and will be asked to seek medical attention to determine what treatment protocol is necessary for the individual's condition.

Measures We Encourage Our Clients, Members, Staff, & Guests to Abide by

  • Cover your nose and mouth when coughing or sneezing with a tissue or the crook of your arm.
  • Wash your hands often with soap and water. Wash hands thoroughly before and after class.
  • Avoid touching eyes, nose, or mouth.
  • If you have a present fever and/or respiratory infection symptoms, stay home from gym.

Understanding Cleaning & Disinfecting


Cleaning

Removes germs, dirt, and impurities from surfaces or objects. Cleaning works by using soap (or detergent) and water to physically remove germs from surfaces. This process does not necessarily kill germs, but by removing them, it lowers their numbers and the risk of spreading infection.


Disinfecting

Kills germs on surfaces or objects. Disinfecting works by using chemicals to kill germs on surfaces or objects. This process does not necessarily clean dirty surfaces or remove germs, but by killing germs on a surface after cleaning, it can further lower the risk of spreading infection.

Equipment: VitalOxide, Husky 891 ARENA DISINFECTANT, & Lysol

Surfaces/Floors: Member's Mark Commercial Lemon Fresh Disinfectant Cleaner

  • Lysol Toilet Bowl Cleaner
  • Clorox Bleach Solution of 5 tablespoons bleach per gallon of water
  • Peroxide Cleaning Solution
